About Global Studies

The Global Studies interdisciplinary major at Rutgers-Camden trains students to become leaders in meeting the intellectual, civic, and professional challenges of a new globalized world. The major offers students a special focus on the problems, processes, and potential of global connections across many fields of study, including anthropology, childhood studies, criminal justice, English, fine arts, foreign languages, health sciences, history, philosophy, psychology, religion, social work, and sociology. Global Studies strives to prepare scholars and students for a range of careers in fields where a globalist outlook is increasingly considered essential: teaching and education, all forms of media, culture, business, communications, journalism, public policy, international relations, and a wide-range of other private and public sector jobs.
